Ukrainian families who have made Dunoon their home are marking Ukrainian Independence Day by gifting a picnic bench to the town, as a heartfelt thank you for the welcome and support they have received throughout Argyll and Bute since leaving the war in Ukraine

As part of a Schools (Consultation)(Scotland) 2010 statutory consultation, Argyll and Bute Council is asking pupils, families and the wider school community on Mull for views on the relocation of Tobermory Campus. The consultation is available on the council website from 24 August and runs to 2 October 2026.

Argyll and Bute Council will be undertaking essential repair works to the ferry slip at Port Askaig, which serves the Islay to Jura ferry service.
