Putting children’s rights at the heart of school life, where children feel respected and their talents nurtured are key aims of UNICEF’s Rights Respecting School Awards (RRSA). Staff and children across fifteen Argyll and Bute Schools have worked hard to embed the award values in daily school life resulting in gold, silver and bronze awards. This is a significant step towards the council becoming a Rights Respecting Education Service.

Argyll and Bute Council is working with drone specialists Skyports to carry out a series of flight demonstrations and inspections to explore how drone deliveries can benefit remote communities and businesses in the area.
