Argyll and Bute Council Constitution - 5. Who presides at meetings

  1. At a meeting of the Council, the Provost, if present, will preside. (CS)
     
  2. If the Provost is absent from a meeting the Depute Provost will preside; if they are both absent, another Councillor chosen by the Members will preside. (CS)
     
  3. If at any time during the meeting the Provost is present she/he will preside and similarly, in the absence of the Provost, the Depute will preside during any time she/he is present. (CS)
     
  4. The Member who is presiding at the meeting must do so from the specified location for the meeting unless alternative arrangements have been made.
