The requirements for written notification at 13.1 and 13.2 shall also be satisfied by an email of the motion being submitted by individual members via their Council email account.
- If a Member wishes a motion to be considered at a meeting (other than one on a matter of urgency under Standing Order 14) it must be written down, signed by the Member and countersigned by another Member, and given or sent to the Executive Director with responsibility for Legal and Regulatory Support Services to be received by her/him at least 10 clear days [clear days excludes the day of submission of the Motion and the day of the Meeting but includes Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays] before the next ordinary meeting of the Council. This is called giving notice of a motion. (CS)
- These notices of motion will be included on the agenda for the next meeting in the order in which the Executive Director with responsibility for Legal and Regulatory Support Services receives them. If the Provost considers that more than one of these motions deals with the same subject, only the motion received first will be considered.
The requirements for written notification shall also be satisfied by an email of the motion being submitted by individual members via their Council email account. (CS)
