Testimonials
Travelling to the area
A scenic drive from Glasgow past the shores of Loch Lomond and over the magnificent Rest and Be Thankful, down the western side of beautiful Loch Fyne, brings you to the gateway of this stunning and historic area of Argyll.
By road – 88 miles from Glasgow
Twenty-four miles south of Inveraray on the A83 is the town of Lochgilphead, home to Argyll and Bute Council headquarters based at Kilmory Castle. The castle gardens, home to many rare rhododendrons and unusual trees and plants, offers a stunning backdrop for photographs, as do the nearby Crinan Canal and front green.
As of June 2026 our ceremony room is now located within Kilmory Castle. Please note staff at the registration office are still based at 1A Manse Brae Lochgilphead PA31 8RD, where you will visit to submit paperwork and see staff.
