We got married on 3rd of May at the Helensburgh and Lomond civic centre, the venue is stunning based at the old school house and right next to the water. Jane was our registrar and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to marry us. From when we first met her she was warm and bubbly and put our minds at ease. She was on hand to answer any questions on the lead up to our day, and always did so promptly and nothing was ever too much a bother! Jane made our day very personal to us, Thanks again for a fabulous day

Samantha was absolutely lovely! She made our day so special, and she was willing to do a Spanish/english ceremony, making our family feel closer to us. There’s not enough words to express how much we appreciate Samantha’s work and her good vibe throughout the year planning the wedding. We think any bride and groom would be lucky to have her on their special day 🙂

Gemma was incredibly helpful and did a great job at making us both feel at ease during the planning process, filling in our paperwork and throughout the actual ceremony, even when our 2 year old decided to join us in saying our vows! The ceremony was personal, quick and enjoyed by everyone in the party, we can’t thank Gemma enough!

We had an absolutely amazing wedding day at Crear and Lorna was perfect as our registrar. As soon as we made initial contact to plan our day we felt looked after by Lorna. From the first conversation to the subsequent emails, everything was straightforward and easy. On the day Lorna suggested the most perfect spot for us to say our vows. The ceremony was so relaxed, intimate and personal. As there were just six of us in the wedding party, Lorna made the service just for us and we felt like we were literally on top of the world. Lorna was able to ensure that everyone felt included and part of the ceremony, it was just magical. We cannot thank Lorna and the team enough for making our day so incredibly special.

The most amazing day, not only in a wonderful location with the best that the Argyll and Hebridean weather can bring, but enhanced by the beautiful words and helpfulness of the Registrar, Nicky.

We can’t thank Andrew enough for being a part of our special day! We got married in a remote part of Mull, in typical Mull fashion we had 4 seasons in a day. From the very beginning Andrew was up for the adventure, he was so helpful when it came to planning our day and went along with our wild adventure. The words he wrote for our marriage were so personal, even including our dog in them! When the heavens opened during the ceremony he checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable, with huge smiles on our faces we continued through the rain. Andrew brought a sense of fun to the ceremony and our guest said what a pleasure it was to watch him marry us. We really can’t thank you enough for making our wedding so memorable, we will treasure it forever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Matt, Sasha and our lovable Labrador Oakey.

'We had the most amazing, magical wedding day. From first contact with Lorna, helping us with our paperwork, answering questions, the whole process was totally stress free. On the day itself Melanie was brilliant, she made us feel so relaxed, and suggested the most perfect spot on the beach for our ceremony. Our wedding day was more than we ever dreamed it could be and all made possible by the team at Lochgilphead. Thank you to you all.

We were married in an outdoor ceremony at Castle House in Dunoon, and it was so special; all thanks to the collective efforts of the registry team in Dunoon and Argyll Weddings and Events. As we don't live in the area, our registrar Stephanie ensured there was communication at all times and made an effort to get to know us before the big day, to personalise our ceremony. We were able to tailor and proofread the ceremony beforehand, which allowed us to make it exactly what we wanted. As our ceremony was outdoors, we did worry that some of our guests may not be able to hear things clearly, but Stephanie spoke perfectly and our guests heard every word. We couldn't have been happier with the way things went! For the dressing of the venue we were recommended Linda from Argyll Weddings and Events, who liaised with the registry team to ensure our ceremony looked perfect. It was everything we wanted and more! All of our guests said they thought it was fab and they are still talking about the amazing time they had in Dunoon. Nothing was ever an issue in the run up to our big day and it went down perfectly! We followed our ceremony with dinner at Chatters restaurant, and then a ceilidh and disco at Dunoon Burgh Hall. Thank you again to Stephanie and the team in Dunoon - we loved every minute!

Elaine was so lovely and helpful throughout the whole process. She guided us through everything from what to include within our ceremony to keeping us all at ease, and making sure everything ran smoothly on the day. We honestly could not be more grateful for all of Elaine’s help, we could not have asked for a better person to conduct our ceremony.

We had a fabulous day and ceremony which Linda beautifully prepared. The whole experience leading up to the day, before the day and during the day was exceptionally managed by Linda. She made the whole day very special for us by making us the centre of attention. All the paperwork before was easily managed and a breeze. Linda conducted the ceremony with the utmost care and attention which left us wishing for nothing. Our wedding day was very special and one we will never forget. Great day. Great people and seamlessly managed.

We can’t thank our Registrar (Catherine Dods) and our local photographer (LJF photography ) enough for ensuring our special day was perfect. After deciding we wanted to get married at Tralee Bay just outside Oban, the whole process was seamless. From the first point of looking at the Argyle and Bute website to communication with the Registrars. The website was so informative and provided us with lots of useful ideas to consider what type of ceremony we wanted. After booking our date, Catherine was great, linking in advance, checking what exactly we wanted and arranging to see us the day before to process the necessary paperwork. On our big day her delivery was professional yet friendly and spoken with meaning. Just what we were looking for. A lovely thoughtful gesture was Catherine and Iona (who was assisting Catherine and read out a beautiful Poem for us) writing our names in a love heart on the sand just before we arrived on the beach. We feel lucky to have been able to get married in such a beautiful part of the world and we would not hesitate in recommending everyone who supported us to make it happen.
