We got married on 3rd of May at the Helensburgh and Lomond civic centre, the venue is stunning based at the old school house and right next to the water. Jane was our registrar and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to marry us. From when we first met her she was warm and bubbly and put our minds at ease. She was on hand to answer any questions on the lead up to our day, and always did so promptly and nothing was ever too much a bother! Jane made our day very personal to us, Thanks again for a fabulous day

Wow - what an amazing experience we had with Argyll Bute, with Samantha being absolutely incredible. The Argyle Bute website was extremely resourceful and provided tips and background which helped us plan the ceremony and add special elements. Samantha was a star! She was on top of every detail and was calming and encouraging. Couples are extremely lucky to have her. Samantha captured our love story perfectly and added extra details which made our ceremony so special. She also included the children in the special moments which made our ceremony extra special becoming an official family. We HIGHLY recommend Argyll Bute for ceremonies and especially Samantha who made our wedding once in a lifetime for us.

Gemma was great, we are both really happy to have had her perform the ceremony of our marriage. She was very helpful, taking all our suggestions and background, and crafting a ceremony that was exactly what we wanted. Thank you so much.

Lorna, our registrar, was nothing short of amazing from our very first contact right through to our incredible wedding day. From the beginning, she made us feel completely at ease, and that care and attention carried through every step of the process. The ceremony itself was beautifully intimate, allowing us to truly connect with the meaning behind every word and every glance. Lorna delivered it with such warmth and sincerity that it felt deeply personal to us never like just another appointment in her day. Every detail was handled seamlessly, giving us the space to be fully present and soak in each moment. What surprised us most was just how emotional and memorable the experience became. In such a beautiful setting, Lorna created something incredibly powerful a genuine, heartfelt celebration of love without any distractions. Our wedding was elegant, meaningful, and truly unforgettable, and we have Lorna to thank for that. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to guide us through such an important moment in our lives.”

The most amazing day, not only in a wonderful location with the best that the Argyll and Hebridean weather can bring, but enhanced by the beautiful words and helpfulness of the Registrar, Nicky.

Gill and I have been to a few registry office weddings for family and friends and felt they were like production lines with little or no real feeling from the registrars’ teams. Gill’s daughter Lauren lives in Tobermory and was married by Andrew six years ago , and that’s when we realised that the Mull team and Andrew in particular really cared about making the day memorable. So when we decided to join our two families in our civil partnership, we knew there was only one place we wanted to get married – Tobermory on Mull! All the way through the process, Andrew has guided and helped us with suggestions for words and sites for the ceremony. He was very flexible on the site and timings of the ceremony , even printing out our words and vows for us. On the day, Andrew arrived early, met all the families and suggested where we could have the ceremony by the lake. He even helped with the group family photos! If anyone wants a registry office ceremony that feels (and is!) personal for them and their families, and not a rushed production line ceremony, then do what we did, get 19 people up to Mull for a week and got married in a happy joyous unrushed way that everyone will remember for years to come.

Absolutely delighted to have Melanie play such an important role in our big day. From start to finish Melanie showed us nothing but care, love, excitement and professionalism - she made us both feel at ease despite how much I was shaking! And even handed off a much needed tissue, ever so subtly at the alter! A big thank you to Lorna too for answering all of our questions in the run up and to both of you for your shared joy in our marriage! We’re so happy you married us!!!

We were married at Crispie Estate, and Stephanie was absolutely fantastic as our registrar. From the moment the ceremony began, everything felt calm, relaxed, and completely seamless thanks to her reassuring presence. She guided us and our wedding party so naturally through each part of the ceremony, from the readings and signing to the handling of our cords, it all flowed beautifully. Her warmth and professionalism made the ceremony feel personal and effortless, and we couldn’t have asked for a lovelier person to lead such a special moment in our day.

We had a great informal and relaxed wedding ceremony with Alan. Just what we were after. We asked for two witnesses as we had told no one and wanted our marriage to be a surprise for family and friends. Alan organised the witnesses and helped me with the required paperwork before the day. I contacted Mairi online and met her for a cuppa before the wedding to discuss ideas etc. She is a lovely lady and puts you at ease as soon as you meet her. Our special day was just as we wanted, we were relaxed and laughing from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this venue and of course Alan and Mairi.

We had a fabulous day and ceremony which Linda beautifully prepared. The whole experience leading up to the day, before the day and during the day was exceptionally managed by Linda. She made the whole day very special for us by making us the centre of attention. All the paperwork before was easily managed and a breeze. Linda conducted the ceremony with the utmost care and attention which left us wishing for nothing. Our wedding day was very special and one we will never forget. Great day. Great people and seamlessly managed.

We can’t thank our Registrar (Catherine Dods) and our local photographer (LJF photography) enough for ensuring our special day was perfect. After deciding we wanted to get married at Tralee Bay just outside Oban, the whole process was seamless. From the first point of looking at the Argyle and Bute website to communication with the Registrars. The website was so informative and provided us with lots of useful ideas to consider what type of ceremony we wanted. After booking our date, Catherine was great, linking in advance, checking what exactly we wanted and arranging to see us the day before to process the necessary paperwork. On our big day her delivery was professional yet friendly and spoken with meaning. Just what we were looking for. A lovely thoughtful gesture was Catherine and Iona (who was assisting Catherine and read out a beautiful Poem for us) writing our names in a love heart on the sand just before we arrived on the beach. We feel lucky to have been able to get married in such a beautiful part of the world and we would not hesitate in recommending everyone who supported us to make it happen.
