Read our Questions and Answers about changes to your bin collections
Please put your bin out by 6 am on your collection day
Bin collections now take place between 6am and 10pm on your collection day, so if you think your bin has been missed during the day, please wait until after 10pm to report a missed bin in case your area has an evening collection.
Ordering food bin liners
Please tie an unused food waste liner to the handle of your outside caddy as a sign that you need more liners for your food waste caddy.
A new supply will then be left inside the bin.
Supplies of food waste liners can also be collected from Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre. Please use either the caddy liners provided by us when putting food into your food waste bin, or fully compostable carrier bags (some supermarkets such as the Co-op and Waitrose now provide these in their stores) can also be used.
Please don’t put out a caddy with unbagged food waste, particularly if you need a roll of caddy bags. We won’t leave a clean roll of bags in a dirty caddy.
