It’s Scotland Loves Local Week and the Council’s Business Gateway is celebrating the local businesses across Argyll and Bute currently making the most of the wide range of support available to them.

Argyll and Bute Council is working in partnership with MCR Pathways to recruit caring, committed volunteer mentors who can give just one hour a week to help a young person realise their full potential. The programme matches mentors with young people to help realise their skills and progress to positive destinations, no matter their circumstances.

Argyll and Bute Council is encouraging people to boost the economy by choosing local and supporting businesses the length and breadth of the area, from our mainland towns and villages to our island communities.

Anyone in Oban this Saturday (13 June) should head to the town centre at around 1.15pm when mariners from the Royal Navy’s Zulu Squadron will march from Station Square to North Pier car park.
