Jane was so amazing! She made us feel so comfortable from the very beginning of our journey and through the entire planning of our wedding. No question was too silly or simple and we always felt so comfortable just asking anything we needed to.

We were planning our wedding for loch lomond from Cambridgeshire and we did not meet Jane in person until the week of our wedding but we already knew she was going to be great. The ceremony had its minor hick ups but it was perfect for us as a couple. We wanted a simple and personal ceremony and that is exactly what we got but even better than we ever imagined. Our 3 year old daughter was in attendance and she was able to be involved and made to feel so special.

We want to thank everyone at Argyll and Bute registrar as everyone was so helpful and kind. An amazing day we will cherish forever. Thank you Jane.

Where do I start, right from the very first phone call with Jane I knew that she was the right person for us. No question was ever too silly and she reassured us of any worries we had no matter how small they may have been. We didn’t stay local so everything was done via email or over the phone. The very first time we met Jane in person was on our wedding day, but honestly you would never have known. Our ceremony flowed exactly how we pictured it too and Jane was honestly amazing. She included our two young girls and made them feel so involved in our big day, it made them feel important which allowed them to enjoy it and take the worry and stress away from us to allow us to enjoy it as well. Jane went above and beyond, we had a small intimate wedding (myself, my partner and our two young children) but Jane stayed back and helped assist with some of photographs and kept our children occupied while we got some couples shoots. We were so worried about getting married somewhere that we didn’t really know well but we honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. Everything about the venue, the staff and of course our amazing registrar Jane was perfect. We honestly cannot thank Jane enough for everything she done for us and made our special day one to remember. Thank you so much Jane, you really were tremendous as well as all the staff at Argyll and Bute office. We cannot recommend taking that leap and having your wedding in the stunning scenery of Loch Lomond.

Some moments in life become more precious with every passing year, and for us, 29th July 2022 will always be one of them.

We are Krisztina and Kevin McKeeve, and on that unforgettable day we were married at Helensburgh & Lomond Civic Centre by the wonderful Jane MacGregor, Assistant Registrar/Service Point Officer. It was already the happiest day of our lives, but it carried an even deeper meaning because we were expecting our first child, our beautiful daughter, Maya. As we stood together making our vows, we weren’t just becoming husband and wife—we were beginning the journey of becoming a family.

From the moment our ceremony began, Jane made us feel completely at ease. Her warmth, kindness and genuine care transformed our wedding into something truly magical. She didn’t simply officiate our marriage; she created an atmosphere filled with love, joy and sincerity that we have carried with us ever since. She made us feel seen, celebrated and deeply cared for, and those memories have remained as vivid today as they were on the day itself.

The impact Jane had on us became clear in the years that followed. On our first wedding anniversary in 2023, we returned to Helensburgh & Lomond Civic Centre—not just as husband and wife, but as a family of three with our precious daughter, Maya. We stood in the same place where our journey had begun, reliving those wonderful memories and capturing photographs that marked how much our lives had changed in just one year.

Three years later, we returned once again. This time we were a family of four, with our daughter Maya and our baby son, Luca. Standing together in the very place where we exchanged our vows, we were overwhelmed with gratitude. Looking at our two beautiful children, we were reminded that our wedding day wasn’t simply the beginning of our marriage—it was the beginning of the family we had always dreamed of.

There are very few people who leave a lasting impression on one of the most important days of your life, but Jane is undoubtedly one of them. Her compassion, professionalism and heartfelt approach gave us memories that have become part of our family’s story. Every time we return to that special place, we are reminded not only of the promises we made to one another, but of the kindness of the person who helped make those moments so unforgettable.

Jane, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did for us. Thank you for making our wedding day feel so personal, so joyful and so full of love. The memories you helped create have grown more meaningful with each passing year as our family has grown, and we will cherish them forever. You will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we are endlessly grateful for the part you played in the beginning of our family’s story.
