‘I very recently (June 2021) started this job. I was at a stage in life where I thought ‘what do I want to do for the next 20 years’. To say it is the best move I ever made would be an understatement. It is the most rewarding job – every day! Helping people to make one of the most important days of their lives that bit more special. It also helps to live in one of the most scenic areas in Scotland and our venues are just amazing. ‘I do’ actually love my job.’
What can we say about Ms McLean? She has a permanent big smile on her face and clearly loves and enjoys her job. She will observe the restless, confident groom pace around the house for about 6000 steps, knowing that he will crack and shed a tear as soon as he sees his bride.
She carries out the ceremony with due reverence and does everything in a fluid and practiced manner and was managing to give subtle cues to a groom so that he doesn’t muck things up. She is full of humour and puts her bride and groom at ease. She helped make the day very special and memorable. We will always remember Ms McLean and smile.

Absolutely delighted to have Melanie play such an important role in our big day. From start to finish Melanie showed us nothing but care, love, excitement and professionalism – she made us both feel at ease despite how much I was shaking! And even handed off a much needed tissue, ever so subtly at the alter!

We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful celebrant than Melanie. She worked so closely with us to create a truly unique and personal ceremony that felt completely “us”. She took the time to understand what was important to us and beautifully incorporated our chosen readings and a candle ceremony, making the whole experience incredibly meaningful.
Melanie was warm, thoughtful and professional throughout, and she made us feel completely at ease. She even had tissues tucked into her book and ready to hand out for any tears, which, as it turned out, were definitely needed!
