Choose Argyll Love Argyll

Rudha-na-Craige

Rudha-na-Craige-

Rudha-na-Craige (pronounced RooA-na-Craige) is a beautiful Victorian house on the banks of Loch Fyne.  Built in 1863 by the Duke of Argyll and the ancestral home of the current Duke of Argyll.  Rudha-na-Craige was also requisitioned by the Admiralty during the war years when the area was used for naval training adding to its rich history.

Lovingly restored to its former glory and modernised, our six bedrooms are individually designed with fabrics, furnishings and original antique artwork specially chosen to reflect the character of the rooms.  Our rooms have splendid views across Loch Fyne or the garden and rolling hills.

We are a licensed venue for civil marriage ceremonies which can be performed by a registrar here at the house or in the garden. For religious ceremonies you can arrange for your minister/priest or we can advise on local contacts.

From a small intimate family gathering to a larger occasion where you can hire a marquee and all the added extras, we can provide a beautiful and relaxed venue.

In the house we can cater for up to 35 people seated comfortably for your wedding ceremony. However, if you want to use the setting of our house as a venue to have a bigger wedding (with a few select guests staying in the house) then we can help you arrange a marquee wedding.

If there is any further information you require please contact us at ‘weddings @ rudha-na-craige.com’.

A number of people have now been married from the house with from 4 guests to 150. It certainly is a lovely personal venue, whilst the views over the loch make for some fabulous photos and we know many local contacts that can help with arrangements..
