Historic Kilmun

Entrance

Historic Kilmun is an unusual yet welcoming building for a wedding ceremony.

It’s location has a thousand years of history as a religious site and the present building sits on the shores of the idyllic Holy Loch surrounded by the impressive, high hills of this part of Argyll.

As a former church it dates back to Victorian times. It has a simple but beautiful interior including some exceptional stained-glass windows which bathe the space in coloured light.

There is an up-to-date sound system and a unique water powered organ. An organist can be provided.

Any celebrant may perform a wedding ceremony here whether it be religious or secular – by a registrar or a humanist. The venue accommodates about 300.
