Landlord accreditation
Argyll and Bute Council is partnering Landlord Accreditation Scotland with accreditation for landlords in Argyll and Bute.
Membership allows landlords and letting agents to show they are striving to meet the highest management standards in the private letting industry. Membership is FREE to individual landlords who accept the Scottish Core Standards for Accredited Landlords.

- Landlords should meet the Scottish Core Standards
- Accreditation is a good marketing tool for businesses
- Before a landlord can be accredited they must first be registered with the Local Authority. Registration is a legal requirement. You can check whether a landlord is registered at www.landlordregistrationscotland.gov.uk.
- Tenants are advised to seek only accredited landlords to meet their housing needs.

Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL) is the professional body for Scotland's landlords assisting landlords with their letting businesses, represent them when needed, lobby Government on all issues affecting landlords.
