You should receive an automatic acknowledgement as soon as you submit your Business Funding Enquiry Form. If your details are complete the Business Gateway service will be in touch within 5 working days to discuss your suitability for a grant. You will be sent an application form if you appear eligible for this grant.
After you have submitted your completed application form, further information may be requested. If you have not already met with a Business Gateway adviser, you will need a meeting (by phone or video) to discuss your application.
Your adviser will then progress your application for approval or rejection by an independent Council Officer. We aim to make a decision on fully complete applications within 10 working days, but this may take longer during busy periods. You will be notified of the outcome by email. To be approved, your application must:
- meet all the eligibility criteria
- show a need for grant assistance
- show a benefit to the business aligned to the aim of this grant programme
- represent a good use of public funds
