Glenmorag car park update

Argyll and Bute Council has thanked everyone who has helped remove their vehicles from the Glenmorag car park, Dunoon

Following complaints from local residents, the council issued notices to remove the abandoned motorhomes, trailers and caravans that were causing an eyesore. Thanks to vehicle owners, the car park is now clear and available for day parking. In total the council removed four vehicles and trailers which were still there after the 15 day notice period and were clearly abandoned

Councillor Andrew Kain, Policy Lead for Roads and Infrastructure:

“We really appreciate every effort made by owners to remove their vehicles from the car park. We had around twenty vehicles and trailers abandoned in the car park, some in very poor condition and clearly not in regular use.

Thanks to all the hard work, the car park is back to a tidy site with plenty of car parking spaces. We will continue to monitor the car park and remind people that the car park has a Traffic Regulation Order, which prohibits unhitched trailers on site. We would also ask people not to abandon any vehicles which may well be removed by the council.”
