Private Landlord Information Event – Monday 24th August 2-4pm
Argyll and Bute Council and Landlord Accreditation Scotland, in partnership with Safe Deposit Scotland, are excited to invite you to our upcoming free Private Landlord Information Session on Monday, 24th August 2026, from 2pm to 4pm, hosted online via Microsoft Teams.
Bringing together industry specialists, the event will provide an overview of the PRS in Scotland today, a summary of upcoming changes for landlords, and practical steps landlords can take now to prepare for the future.
Speakers will include:
- Elspeth Boyle, Director Landlord Accreditation Scotland
- John Blackwood, Chief Executive, Scottish Association of Landlords
- Carol Bradburn, Head of Safe Deposits Scotland.
The session will include discussion surrounding the forthcoming legislative changes affecting the private rented sector, including the implementation of Awaab’s Law and what landlords should be aware of in preparation for the new requirements.

Under One Roof: Damp and Mould/ Awaab’s Law Webinar – Tuesday 8th September 10-11am
We are excited to invite you to the upcoming Landlord Webinar on Tuesday 8th September at 10-11am, hosted via Microsoft Teams. Join us to learn more about the legislative changes that will be coming into force in October.
The webinar will include an update for landlords surrounding the implications of Awaab’s Law alongside causes of and solutions for different types of damp. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session where you will get the opportunity to ask experts about damp and mould related issues.

Landlord Accreditation Scotland: Ending a Tenancy, The Legislation Online Course – 8th September 2pm-3.15pm
Landlord Accreditation Scotland is delighted to offer landlords registered with Argyll and Bute Council the opportunity to attend an online webinar on 8th September 2026. This webinar provides landlords with the opportunity to understand the topic in more detail or act as a refresher on the subject, bringing knowledge on changes to legislation and best practice up to date.
Alongside providing practical guidance, the webinars are delivered by LAS tutors who are highly experienced and knowledgeable in private rented sector matters and are on hand to address your questions and concerns. The webinars available from LAS cover all landlord responsibilities and are updated in line with ever changing legislation.

Private Landlord Forums
We will be hosting regular Private Landlord Forums, based on what you have told us you want to hear about. These will be advertised via the regular newsletters detailed above and will also be recorded and made available via this web page for anyone who cannot attend.
Landlord Webinar – 10 March 2026
SafeDeposits Scotland hosted a webinar on 10th March 2026, focusing on what deposit schemes are, how to use them, the repayment process, how to navigate disputes (including through the Alternative Dispute Resolution process), and how to complete inventories and check-out inspection reports.
Landlord Forum – 23rd February 2026
