Strone Primary is in an elevated position and has magnificent views of Loch Long, the Firth of Clyde and the Holy Loch.
The school is over 40 years old and has four classrooms and a large hall that serves as an assembly hall, a gymnasium and lunch hall. Two extensions were added to the school and these provide a gym storage cupboard, office and staff room.
Strone Primary is a very well resourced school. The ratio of computers is 1:2. There is a very active and supportive Parent Council. We have a Pupils' Committee and Eco Group. The pupils are polite, well behaved, enthusiastic and motivated. The school ethos is commented on by everyone who visits the school. The school has a house system with captains and vice captains. All the staff are committed and dedicated to providing an excellent learning experience for the pupils. There is a real sense of teamwork. The Head Teacher encourages staff by a collaborative, collegiate management style.
