Community groups, organisations and individuals across Argyll and Bute can now apply for funding to help bring local projects and ideas to life.
Applications are now open for the Council’s new Area Committee Priority Fund, with £200,000 available across Argyll and Bute during 2026/27.
Each of the Council’s four Area Committees has been allocated £50,000 to support projects that respond to local priorities and make a positive difference to communities.
Applicants can apply for up to £5,000 towards one-off or existing projects, with applications for higher amounts considered in exceptional circumstances.
The fund was agreed as part of the Council’s budget in February 2026, with £50,000 allocated to each Area Committee from the Priorities Investment Fund.
Councillor William Sinclair, the Council’s Policy Lead for Community Planning and Corporate Services, said: “Our communities know their areas best, and this funding is an opportunity to support local ideas and projects that can make a real difference.
“Whether it is helping an existing project develop further or supporting a new idea to get off the ground, we want to hear from anyone who has plans that will benefit their community. With £50,000 available in each of our four areas, I would encourage anyone with an eligible project to take a look at the criteria and submit an application.”
Applications should support one or more of the Council’s priorities:
- Empowered and resilient communities
- Making Argyll and Bute an attractive choice for families
- Housing, economic growth and population
- Transport, infrastructure and digital connectivity
- Environment
- Sustainable service delivery
- Speaking up for Argyll and Bute, its people and its communities
Applications are open now until Sunday 25 October 2026. Applications will then be considered by the relevant Area Committee.
