Event organisers across Argyll and Bute can apply for a share of funding to develop, strengthen and grow the area's vibrant programme of events and festivals.
Applications for Argyll and Bute Council's Strategic Events and Festivals Fund (SEF) open on Monday 5 October.
The fund supports not-for-profit organisations delivering events and festivals of strategic importance across Argyll and Bute. Funding of up to 20% of total event costs is available to help organisers enhance their events, improve long-term sustainability and resilience, and maximise the economic benefits they bring to local communities.
Events and festivals make an important contribution to Argyll and Bute's economy, attracting visitors, supporting local businesses and showcasing the area's unique culture, heritage and landscapes.
Council Leader, Councillor Jim Lynch, said:
"From internationally recognised events to much-loved local festivals, our events sector plays a vital role in promoting Argyll and Bute as a destination and generating economic benefits for our communities. This fund is about helping organisers build on that success, whether through developing new ideas, expanding their reach or improving the long-term sustainability of their events. I would encourage eligible organisations to make the most of this opportunity and submit an application."
