Parents across Argyll and Bute can access free support to help them develop skills, find work, increase their income and build confidence.
Delivered by the Council’s Employability Team, the Parental Employability Support (PES) programme works with parents on a one-to-one basis, providing flexible support tailored to individual circumstances. The team helps unemployed parents move into work and supports those already in employment to increase their household income.
The Employability Team helps with training and upskilling, job searches, interview preparation, confidence building, health support and advice on money management, budgeting and debt.
The Council’s Policy Lead for Economic Development, Housing, Islands and Communities, Councillor Jim Lynch, said: "Every parent wants the best possible future for their family, and Parental Employability Support helps make that future more achievable.
“Whether someone is looking for work, wants to build their confidence, develop new skills or increase their income, our Employability Team can provide practical, tailored support every step of the way.
