Food Standards Scotland (FSS) has directed enforcement authorities across Scotland, including Argyll and Bute, to identify and contact any establishments that may be stocking products manufactured by Kimbland Distillery Ltd, Orkney.
The business has been manufacturing and selling whisky and gin products without the required safety controls and has failed to provide evidence that its products meet safety standards. The products may pose a risk to health.
While distribution of the product appears to be localised to Orkney, the business does have an online presence and so the product may have been sold via their website.
Products to be aware of include:
- New Make Spirit of Whisky (all sizes)
- Sanday Tempest Gin 70cl (see photograph)
- Sanday Sunset Gin 70cl (see photograph)
- Sanday No.1 Gin 70cl (see photograph)
- Filled barrels and casks
