Community and voluntary groups can now apply to a new fund to help create new facilities or improve open spaces in their local area.
The Vibrant and Living Spaces Grant opens on Friday 12 January 2024 and supports long-term, large-scale (capital) projects that create or improve:
- Green or blue space
- Community facilities and amenities; or
- Cultural heritage and tourism assets
Applications are open to:
- Constituted community and voluntary groups based in Argyll and Bute;
- Organisations, which have not for profit status, such as being a registered charity, social enterprise, or community interest groups, based in Argyll and Bute.
Funding is through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) with Argyll and Bute Council allocated £304,642 to manage the Vibrant and Living Spaces Grant. The council will award grants from £10,000 to £50,000 to eligible organisations to deliver projects that support and deliver UKSPF objectives. Please note that funding is limited.
