Inspectors from Education Scotland have praised the head teacher and staff at Carradale Primary and Early Learning Centre (ELC) for fostering an inclusive, nurturing ethos across the school and nursery.
Carradale, whose Headteacher Richard Long also leads Castlehill and Drumlemble primary schools in South Kintyre, received a glowing report from HM Inspectors this week following their visit to the school earlier this summer.
During the visit, inspectors found that pupils had very positive relationships with adults and other children in the school, and described the children as feeling valued, cared for, and included in school life.
They praised the highly effective teamwork shown by staff across the nursery class and school to plan and deliver support for children who require additional support with their learning and said the wide range of experiences that children have access to within the local community is helping to develop their confidence, language, and social skills.
