John Kennedy Transport has made the difficult decision to cease operating the Ring and Ride service on Tiree from 30 November, after almost 20 years.
Many factors have influenced this decision but, predominately, it has resulted from a struggle to recruit drivers.
Instead, the company will provide a pre-booked private hire service that will allow them the flexibility to offer a service when drivers are available. They will also continue to provide the school transport service on the island.
In addition to the new service that John Kennedy Transport will be launching for the general public, the island’s popular Curam bus is also available to transport its members.
John Kennedy Transport would like to thank all the customers who have supported them and are looking forward to their new chapter in 2024.
