Argyll and Bute Council’s Dunoon Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) is working in partnership with the ‘We are building a beach hut’ project to deliver a series of free workshops.
Boat builder Ben Neville will lead the workshops taking participants through traditional construction techniques using timber and a range of tools and finishes.
During the workshop, make part of a prototype hut that will feature in an exhibition on West Bay, July 2022. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the local heritage of beach huts, West Bay and the ‘We are building a beach hut’ project.
You do not need any prior experience to take part in workshops, just a willingness to learn, ask questions and support this project. Places are free, but limited and are open to anyone over the age of 18.
