Standing for election

Are you interested in representing your local community?  Do you want to play a part in shaping the services that local people use?

The Scottish Local Government Elections take place on 5 May 2022. Communities across Scotland will choose the 1,227 councillors who will represent them on the country’s 32 local authorities for the next five years. People in Argyll and Bute will elect 36 of those councillors to represent their communities.

If you want to stand for election, you must complete and submit a nomination form. The process is now open. All nominations must be with the council by 4pm on 30 March.

You can find a nomination pack for the Argyll and Bute Council elections on the council website /sites/default/files/migrated_files/Unknown/nomination_pack_5_may_2022_0.pdf
