Make sure your community's voice is heard

Do you want to make sure your community’s voice is heard where and when it matters? If you care about your community and want to get more involved in local life, why not consider standing for election to your local Community Council?

Community Council elections will take place across Argyll and Bute in October 2022. Taking part in these elections - whether as a voter or a candidate - gives you opportunities to have your say in local representation and community life.

Nominations for election close at 4pm on Thursday 8 September 2022 - so there’s still time to get involved. You can stand for election as a Community Councillor if you’re 16 or over, live within your Community Council area and are listed on the electoral register for local government elections for the area where you live.

Community Councils need people from all walks of life and of all ages to carry out their role as an effective local voice and play their part in making their local area a better place to live.
