Deadline for voting by proxy in upcoming Lomond North by-election

There is just one week left to apply for a proxy vote if you live in the Lomond North ward, want to vote in the upcoming by-election but can’t get to the polling station in person.

A proxy vote is where you appoint someone to attend at the polling station and cast your vote on your behalf.

You can download a proxy voting application form from Voting in the Scotland by-elections | Electoral Commission or by calling 0800 980 0470 to ask for a form.

Once you have completed the form, you should send it to the local Electoral Registration Office. People who live in the Lomond North ward and want to use a proxy vote for the December by-election need to send their application before the deadline of Wednesday 8 December 2021. You can email your application to or post it to Argyll and Bute Electoral Registration Office, Kilbrannan House, Bolgam Street, Campbeltown PA28 6JY.

You can apply for just one specific election or for a longer period if you want – you will have options to do this on your application form.
