Council urges caution as facilities reopen

Following on from national guidance and the easing of some lockdown restrictions, facilities across Argyll and Bute can now start to open.

From Friday 3rd July, all car parks including Duck Bay and Luss will reopen and a phased reopening of public toilets will begin. This phased approach will enable the council to keep both customers and staff safe and provide an enhanced cleaning regime during the summer period.  The council is providing additional funding to provide the added cleanliness and will review this adjusted model in August.

Public toilets will only remain open with the cooperation and responsible use by the public. A full list of open toilets can be found on the council website.

To help support communities, as a result of irresponsible parking in recent weeks and to ensure priority parking spaces are maintained, wardens will be actively monitoring our road network and car parks. From 11th July the enforcement of car parking charges will resume.

As facilities start to reopen, the council is urging people to continue to act responsibly and follow government advice in order to avoid a second wave of COVID-19 and potentially the return of lockdown measures.
