Oban Airport is owned by Argyll and Bute Council and is a vital social and business hub for the area. The airport offers scheduled flights to Coll, Tiree, Colonsay and Islay, and enables island pupils attending Oban High to access a fast and efficient mode of transport to and from school.
The airport serves around 3,000 passengers each year and, in addition to scheduled flights, is a popular destination for private pilots and charter flights alike.
Crew Commander Murray MacGregor is just one of a dedicated team of staff at the airport working hard to deliver high quality services to our communities.
“My role is varied. From providing fire and rescue cover and airport security, to bird control, aircraft marshalling and baggage handling - it’s a relatively wide remit so no two days are the same. I really enjoy my job. We have a good team and work well to ensure that our communities receive the best service possible.”
