The council website has a dedicated section with links to a variety of sources which will tell you about any current/planned road works in the area, travel and weather disruptions, road closures, and links to the area’s road cameras to enable you to see current road conditions. This information is also posted on our Weathering the Storm Facebook page and service disruptions can be heard over the phone by dialling 01546 60404040.
The council also has a useful notification and engagement service called “Keep In the Loop” whereby you can sign up to receive email alerts about disruptions, (plus events, consultations and new or changed services).
Bob Miller, Customer Engagement and Transformation Manager, said: “It’s important that we let people know about anything that might disrupt their travel plans. More and more people are accessing this information through our website and our new email and SMS alert service, so it’s good to know that we’re helping people and possibly making their journeys safer and a little easier.”
