Hundreds of teaching staff and young people across Argyll and Bute will return to school today after the summer holidays.
Argyll and Bute Council’s Policy Lead for Education, Councillor Yvonne McNeilly, would like to wish them the very best of luck:
“From those heading into their final year of secondary school, to our little ones who are just starting out on their educational journey in primary one, I would like to wish them all lots of happiness and success in the new school term.
“We all want the very best education for our children and young people, to ensure they have every opportunity to be the best they can be. We have hardworking, dedicated pupils and teachers to be proud of, and a strategy – Our Children, Their Future - in place that is guiding the development of our education service.
“Our focus is on building on the often award-winning successes of our schools and to ensure that our children and young people thrive to be the best they can be. I hope everyone has a great school year.”
