Council teams up with national magazine to promote road bike training

Argyll and Bute Council’s Road Safety Team has joined forces with Scottish Biker Magazine to host an event in Inveraray this summer, aimed at providing motorcyclists with advice on how they can improve their riding on the road.

The Rider Development Day will take place on 15 July and is targeted at motorcyclists who have not taken any further training since passing their bike test.

The event is an opportunity for riders to get together and look at ways they can make their biking experience even safer. It will enable them to focus on particular areas of skills they would like to improve on and be more alert to potential dangers.

The day will start at 9am with a group workshop session from a motorcycling instructor before taking to the road in the afternoon.  Participants will be asked what skills they would like to improve and then be paired up with trainers accordingly.

The cost of the event is £35 per person and lunch will be provided.
