Gigha Primary School

Gigha Primary School was built in 1897 and has been modernised to a very high standard. An extension was built in 2006- 2007, extending the accommodation to two classrooms, office, staffroom and a multi- purpose room and kitchen. School meals are served from the main kitchen and meals-on-wheels go out to the elderly twice a week on request.

Glassary Primary School

Glassary Primary is a non-denominational school situated in the attractive village of Kilmichael, near Lochgilphead in the Mid-Argyll area of Argyll and Bute Council.

Glenbarr Primary School

Glenbarr Primary is a non-denominational rural school situated fourteen miles north of Campbeltown on the A83. It serves a wide catchment area which includes the villages of Muasdale, Glenbarr and Bellochantuy.

Inveraray Primary School

Inveraray Primary is situated in the Royal Burgh of Inveraray and serves the local catchments area. The school was built in 1964 and is a bright and well equipped building.

Islay High School

Islay High School is a non denominational six year comprehensive catering for an age range of eleven to eighteen years. The school serves the islands of Islay and Jura and is situated in the Bowmore, the main village in Islay.

Keills Primary School

Keills Primary School serves several scattered, rural communities in the north-east of the island of Islay, from Bridgend to Bunnahabhain, in the area known as Kilmeny. The school is situated at the edge of the small village of Keills, on the main road to the ferry port of Port Askaig, with magnificent views of the Paps of Jura and the Sound of Islay.

Kilchattan Primary School

The school is small, rural, non-denominational and multi-composite, with a pre 5 unit attached and a maximum capacity of 21 children.

Port Charlotte Primary School

Port Charlotte Primary is a non-denominational and co-educational school. It is a modern school set in the picturesque village of Port Charlotte on the western shore of Loch Indaal. The school has a panoramic view of the loch and the distant Paps of Jura.

Port Ellen Primary School

Port Ellen Primary School and Pre 5 Unit is situated on an elevated site at the edge of Port Ellen village. Port Ellen serves the southern part of the Island of Islay and the school catchment area includes the villages of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg as well as an extensive rural area. The majority of our pupils live within a mile of the school.
