North Bute Primary School

North Bute is a small, co-educational, non-denominational primary school covering the stages from Primary 1 to Primary 7. The school is situated in Port Bannatyne, which is two and a half miles north of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute.

Our curriculum is matched to the programmes of study laid down in the 5-14 Guidelines and account is taken of the individual needs, abilities and aptitudes of the children. We aim for continual improvement in Standards and Quality, through careful planning, on an annual basis, to address priorities for development.

The local community is very supportive of the school, and there is a close working partnership between parents, staff and pupils.

HMIE inspection Reports:

HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) inspects and reports on the quality of education in pre-school centres, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, community learning and development services, colleges, and residential educational provision.

You can read and download any inspection reports for this school, and find out more about the inspection process, on the Education Scotland website.
