Isle of Iona
Iona Primary School is situated on the beautiful island of Iona on the west coast of Scotland. There is a regular ferry service across the Sound of Iona to Fionnphort on Mull.
The school consists of two classrooms and an office. The children use both rooms where facilities include a library, television, piano, art area, computer and listening area.
There is a large grass covered play area and a garden at the side of the school building.
The school itself is a single storey building constructed in the 1850’s and extended in 1965.
HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) inspects and reports on the quality of education in pre-school centres, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, community learning and development services, colleges, and residential educational provision.
You can read and download any inspection reports for this school, and find out more about the inspection process, on the Education Scotland website.
