Barcaldine Primary School is a small rural non-denominational school, approximately 14 miles from Oban, serving the community of the same name. The school overlooks Loch Creran and has Sutherlands Grove, a beautiful managed woodland, as its neighbour.
The building houses one large classroom and a smaller room. There is also an office and a large entrance area with cloakroom.
Barcaldine School caters for stages P1 –P7 and seeks to provide a stimulating and caring environment in which each child can develop his or her own innate abilities.
HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) inspects and reports on the quality of education in pre-school centres, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, community learning and development services, colleges, and residential educational provision.
You can read and download any inspection reports for this school, and find out more about the inspection process, on the Education Scotland website.
