The deadline for applications is 5pm on 27 November 2026 although the fund will close to applications sooner if fully committed.
- Application forms are issued by the Council’s Business Gateway service after an initial discussion to confirm your suitability.
- The information that you provide in the application form will be used to assess your application
- Support is awarded at Argyll and Bute Council’s discretion.
- Where there is more than one owner of the business, for example in a partnership or limited company, details of all the other individuals involved in the business must be provided.
- If your business is part of a group, support can be considered on a discretionary basis if the parent company is a UK based small or medium sized enterprise; and the economic benefits of providing support relate to Argyll and Bute (job creation or retention, strengthening local supply chains and/or supporting key sectors).
- Each application will be assessed on its individual circumstances.
- If approved, you will be appointed a specialist by Business Gateway from a framework of specialist contractors. You cannot appoint your own specialist adviser and claim the costs from Business Gateway. Payment for the expert help will be made directly by Business Gateway to the contractor.
- all support must be fully concluded by 31st March 2027. You can access a maximum of 2 specialist advice sessions.
