As part of a wider investment in the future skills and economic growth of Argyll and Bute, the hub will provide access to cutting-edge learning environments, specialist STEM facilities, and unique opportunities for collaboration between schools, colleges, businesses and community partners.
At the heart of the hub is the new immersive classroom, or “Holodeck”, a state-of-the-art 360-degree learning space that brings lessons to life through interactive and projection technologies, allowing learners to explore everything from the depths of the ocean to outer space in a fully engaging environment. Through innovation, hands-on learning and real-world experiences, STEM Hub South is helping develop the curiosity, creativity and skills needed for the careers of tomorrow.
