As well as the recycling centres in each area, and the household recycling collections, there are also a number of local recycling points in our communities where you can take various items for recycling, such as paper and card, glass, and textiles.
Soft plastics such as carrier bags, food bags and wrapping and pet food pouches can't be recycled in your household blue mixed recycling bin, but there are many recycling points for these in your local area (often at supermarkets).
