Winter treatment service update - 18/01/2026

Bright spells and a few showers around this afternoon.

Some clearer intervals in places this evening in between showers, but the rest of the night should turn drier with increasingly cloudy skies across the network. A chilly start to the evening, this allowing some road surface temperatures to locally fall away into marginal territory for a time but otherwise, road surface temperatures should hold above zero. Confidence is a little reduced based upon the extent of how prolonged any clear spells will be, and the subsequent impact on minimum road surface temperatures.

Cloudy tomorrow morning with the return of showery rain.

No winter hazards forecast, no action planned.
