Winter roads

Weather forecast and road treatment monitoring. Updated daily before 2pm covering any planned action for that afternoon, overnight and through the next morning.

Winter treatment service update - 01/04/2026

Patchy rain this afternoon and breezy. Rain will turn more showery this evening before easing overnight.

Lengthy clear periods overnight and cold, with road surface temperatures below zero and the risk of hoar frost.

The formation of ice on the road surface is also possible due to wet weather.

Cloud will attempt to move in from the west towards the end of the night.

Dry with a mixture of patchy cloud and brighter spells tomorrow morning.

Preventative treatments planned in areas with forecasted winter hazards.
