Dunoon CARS - Shopfront Grants of up to 80% Available

What grants are available?

Dunoon Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) is a grant programme focusing on the regeneration of historical buildings jointly funded by Historic Environment Scotland (HES) and Argyll and Bute Council.  We are seeking expressions of interest from shop owners interested in applying for an 80% grant for repair or renewal of their shopfronts.

Is my shop eligible for a grant?

The Dunoon CARS area focuses on Argyll Street in Dunoon. A map of the CARS boundary is available online alternatively contact the CARS project officer for advice.

What do I need to do?

To formally express an interest in the grant please contact the CARS project officer with details of your property, the type of works proposed and estimated costs. All expressions of interest will be assessed and scored. We will then ring-fence grant funds for the successful proposals allowing applicants to proceed with a full application.

What happens next?

If your expression of interest is successful you will be invited to make a grant application. You will need to appoint an architect and go out to tender to get three quotes for the proposed works.

The Deadline for receipt of expressions of interest is Friday 1st of June 2018

To express your interest in a grant or for more information please contact the Dunoon CARS project officer
