Free horticulture and floristry events, Hermitage Park, Helensburgh

Hermitage Park is hosting a series of free workshops in May and June for anyone with an interest in horticulture and floristry.

 

Angela Smith will deliver the interactive workshops. Angela brings a wealth of experience in community and tabletop gardening and floristry.

 

All workshops take place in the Community Room, part of the new Pavilion.

 

Workshops are free and suitable for adults. Places are limited and must be booked. Email charlie.cairns@argyll-bute.gov.uk if you are interested in coming along.

Windowsill Stars/Allotments

Indoor seed sowing Tips and Tricks

Make and take your very own mini Eden. Growing pods of salads, herbs, and edible flowers.

 

Wednesday 1st June 2022 7pm – 8:30pm

Kokedama.

A Japanese variation on Bonsai – Use moss and string to create houseplants without plastic.  

Make and take your very own Kokedama.

 

Sunday 5th June 2022 2pm-3:30pm

Floral Crowns

Make and take your very own Floral Crown of fresh and dried flowers and foliage.

 

Argyll and Bute Council is offering the workshops as part of overall improvements to the Hermitage Park, with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
