We will be closed from 5pm on Friday 25th September to 9am on Tuesday 29th September 2026.
Our Customer Service Points will re-open for normal hours on Tuesday 29th September.
While we are closed, you can use the emergency contact numbers to access emergency services such as social work or dangerous buildings, or to report roads or street lighting faults.
The council’s website can be used as normal for reporting issues, making payments and sending enquiries. However, no action may be taken on some matters like the validation of planning applications and the processing of applications or enquiries, until we fully reopen on Tuesday 29th September.
Bin collections and recycling centres
There will be no changes to recycling centre opening hours or scheduled bin collections over the public holiday weekend. Any current disruptions to bin collections are listed on our service status page
Registration of deaths
The Registration Service will be closed on Monday 28th September 2026.
