NOTICE OF BALLOT – 10 SEPTEMBER 2026
PROPOSED RENEWAL OF THE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR ISLE OF BUTE BID
This is to give notice that a ballot is to be held on the proposal of Isle of Bute BID to renew the Business Improvement District (BID) for the Isle of Bute.
The ballot will be conducted entirely by post by Pippa Milne, Returning Officer, Kilmory Headquarters, Lochgilphead PA31 8RT. Ballot papers will be sent to those eligible to vote no later than Thursday 30 July 2026 for return to the Returning Officer by no later than 5pm on Thursday 10 September 2026.
Who can Vote in the BID Ballot?
Persons eligible to vote in the ballot will be those who are non-domestic ratepayers within the geographical area of the proposed BID.

The BID arrangements and proposals are described in detail in the BID Business Plan. This will be issued by email to persons eligible by the Isle of Bute BID. Should you require to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf, applications must be sent to the Returning Officer, Kilmory Headquarters, Lochgilphead, Argyll PA31 8RT no later than 5pm on Monday 31 August 2026. The Returning Officer can supply a proforma letter to make a proxy application request. To receive a copy of this please email elections@argyll-bute.gov.uk.
