The Timetable for the by-election lists the key dates. The Nomination period closed on Thursday 20 November 2025.
There were fewer candidates than vacant positions for each of the 7 participating community councils resulting in uncontested elections. The candidates set out within the Notices of Uncontested Elections below will be elected as of 15 January 2026 (although in some cases may already be serving currently as co-opted members).
The next scheduled elections for community councils will be full elections which will take place on 20 August 2026. More information will be available at that time but if you are interested in becoming a community councillor, please see our community council webpage for more information.
