Homes for Ukraine and Scottish Super Sponsor Schemes

Argyll and Bute Council has been supporting displaced people from Ukraine through both the Homes for Ukraine private sponsorship scheme as well as the Scottish Government’s Super Sponsor Scheme since our first arrivals came in April 2022.

UK Government Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship scheme (Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme)  is UK wide and the Ukrainian matches with a sponsor before applying for a visa and travelling.  It is expected that Ukrainians will live with their sponsors for a minimum of 6 months.  Sponsors receive a monthly thank you payment.
