Volunteering
What training is involved?
Volunteers will take part in an informal induction course to include background on the project and horticultural and heritage of the park. Following this there will be opportunities to take part in a mix of formal and informal training specific to each role.
What about travel assistance and other expenses?
Volunteers will be reimbursed for expenses such as the cost of travel to the park.
Will I be covered by insurance while volunteering?
Yes, you will be covered by the council's Employers' Liability Insurance which protects volunteer workers for injury or damage that results from work related activities
