Works were carried out to strengthen Kilennan Bridge after it was damaged during a severe weather event in December 2024.
Works included:
- Construction of three new reinforced concrete aprons for the scoured abutment and two central piers.
- Scour protection to the Upstream embankment.
- River Invert repairs using locally sourced stone and a reinforced concrete slab.
- Clearance of the build up of gravel material to all spans.
