Hazardous household waste collection

How to arrange disposal of hazardous household waste, e.g. medicines, pesticides, insecticides, paints and asbestos

Hazardous household wastes can pose a considerable threat to the environment if not handled correctly. That is why this service is FREE to households.

Hazardous waste includes:

  • Medicines
  • Pesticides
  • Insecticides
  • Paints and other household chemicals.
  • Asbestos (we don’t collect this but it can be taken to your local rubbish and recycling centre if wrapped up and the staff notified.)

You may have this type of waste stored in your garage, garden shed or cupboards.
